So I get pulled over today...

For Swearing!!!
I was in a small town in New Hampshire with a bed full of extra stuff from the new restaurant that I'm taking to our storeage facility.
10 am...taking a left at a light into the storeage place, and I look in the rearview to see an Amherst, NH cop behind me.
So I take a left, he turns on the blues, and I figure he's gonna get mad that the load isn't restained (which it wasn't...liftgate open).
I pull over, he gets out, and starts walking toward me, very slow, with his hand on the piece.
At this point I decided to stay real still, and wait for him to come to window, and tell me what to do next.
Anyhow, he comes up, and asks me and the other kitchen manager (a good friend of mine, BTW) who's sittng in the passenger seat, "What's wrong with you two???"
To this I reply, "Nothing, why?"
He then proceeds to tell us that he was following us with his windows open and heard us fighting with each other and swearing.
We both laughed, told him how we were friends, worked together, and how in the eighteen years that we've known each other, we've never ever argued with each other.
Anyhow, our friend starts to get the picture that there was some sort of misinterpretation of watching us listen to the radio and laugh, he apologizes, and says he cant wait for our new Bugaboo to open (we're wearing embroidered chef coats).
Anyhow, he apologizes, and I say I'm relieved.
"Why " he asks...
I reply, "Well I'm sure the fine would've been something like washing my mouth out with soap!!!"
Oh well.
Rick

I need to add one more thing to the story...
My friend Scott (the other KM in the car with me) is about 6'3" and 300# with hands as big as my head. He's a new father, who slept 3 hours last night, and still had the thought to bring a winter hat to work for me today, because he figured my bald head would get cold when we were putting away our first food order today in the walkin.
I know when I'm leaving my house at five in the morning, after sleeping three hours, I'm usually not thinking about anybody else!!! The man is a saint!
Later,
Rick

thats a riot...

well maybe not for you guys....but at least you didnt get into trouble....again

and maybe your LUCK has totally changed.... if that cop wore a big ear

hunting aid...thats all he'd hear was swearing...ha ha hah

oh and rick when a cop approaches...what they wanna see is empty hands

so i always stick both of mine out the window flat so theres no doubt that

they are empty of any weapons. and i leave my pistol on my seat

no JUST KIDDING.. heh heh

Talking yep

i am a crazy MOFO sometimes i'll have to admit...
especially when i have a burr under my saddle...
well, one day i was changing out my clutch & tranny in a
chevy truck...and had it balanced precariously
on top of the cross beam underneath while i got in position
as i was lying on my back about to lift off and into place.
well that SON of a beotch fell on my neck and although
i went into self defense mode my kung fu didn't keep it
from putting a gash in my neck on the left side even though
i caught the weight of it and wasnt killed in the process....

so then being thoroughly pissed off ...i slammed that sucker
in double time having had enough auto mechanics for one day,
and went to have myself a couple of real cold beers to calm down.

on my way home i was still in a fit to be tied kind of MOOD and was
dodging all the POT holes in the old country ROAD...and i get pulled
over...so before the kind officer even approached my truck i yelled:
"YOU BETTER NOT BE PULLING ME OVER FOR SPEEDING" knowing
exactly how fast i was traveling....and he walks up....and says
to me: " Have you been drinking?" and i replied loudly and HONESTLY ...
YES i sure have....i had a couple of cold beers after my damn transmission fell on my neck.... and i pointed to the GASH and bruise....
he takes one look and says: " jesus CHRIST almighty" shaking his head
as he clearly saw the FIRE in my eyes.... and then asked why i was swerving from side to side....so i pointed backwards and again told the truth..." i was just avoiding all those POT HOLES.... " he looks back
and says... ok ? YOU can go.

Yup,
Mine was pretty easy at 10 am, no drinky for me.
NH is kicking me arse, though...I get up every day at seven and get home right about now.
Got like seventeen bosses every day, and as I walked in the door tonite I remembered I have to do laundry.
Not gonna go in till 11 tomorrow. Need sleep.
Usually when I'm like this I'm fishing.
This is really what my eyes look like 24-7.
Hopefully this is my last Bugaboo opening for at least six months.
Later,
Very Sleepy Rick
