What does the Canal look like?
Has anyone seen the canal lately? What kind of shape is it in?

I'm guessing nothing has reallly changed. Probably about 7 miles long, meandering, covered in weed covered rocks on both sides, with a long, flat, paved bikepath on each side. And it's probably wet....
Sorry but I could not resist.

I went down there yesterday to try the new jiggi'n rod and reel bouncing lead off bottom no luck, muddy water and weed as stated in previous post ,I saw 2 ,37" fish landed from the oppisite side ,last year at this time there was a fantastic run of big fish in the ditch with any luck a change in wind and calmer seas and a peak at the sun might help.
