ever have a really bad couple of days?

I just got in a car accident at Walmart...
I was sitting there stopped 50' behind a little Rodeo who was also stopped waiting for a parkspot... The person leaving was taking too long.. So the rodeo popped it in reverse and punched it... hitting my car and literally launching itself into the air about 6'

All parties were uninjured.. which is good because she had a baby in the car..
The rodeo was basically undamaged.

The front right of my car is TRASHED.

After spending Friday night in the emergency room and all weekend sick and no fish at the canal last night... Its been a slam dunk couple of days

*joy*

Couple of bad days NO couple of bad months YES

Mom had a fall and was hospitalized.
Had an electrical fire in my daughters room.
First storm blew some roofing off.
Almost lost boat cause my hitch was rotted underneath.
Gas leak in the house.
Almost lost boat again when storm ripped the dock apart.
Second storm blew some more roofing off.
Second storm uprooted a tree (missed the house).
Truck died on the way to the marina to go fishing.

Other than that life's been pretty quiet....

~..~..~.. ><((((º>
Things done at the last possible minute are done with the greatest possible information. Procrastination is, therefore, the most efficient means of doing things.

NEVER EVER say "it could be worse" or "at least ..... didn't happen".
That's a sure fire curse that will cause something to happen that could and may be worse.
Here's a point to ponder....
They had a show on one of the local channels: "25 years of Boston sport history in 25 minutes" (I think this is what it's called.)
There was an interview with Bill Buckner a couple of weeks before the world series, where he commented "I think it wouldn't be as bad to give up the game winning homerun as it would be to lose a game by having a ball go through your legs" (this probably isn't an exact quote, but close).

Talk about cursing yourself.

Cool

Some bad days are mere nusances in the big picture. Part of what I've learned over the years is, cars are nothing, loved ones are everything. Worry about them and forget the tin. If everyone makes it to the dinner table that evening with a whole skin, then you've all had a good day.Sometimes our emotions go astray or are misguided. Appreciate and be thankful for one another.

I fully agree Jake.
One of my favorite quotes goes:" Sometimes you have to bow to the absurd!"
My own personal saying when someone starts to complain about minutia is:
"It's like throwing rocks in the ocean."
(If you have to throw rocks, try skipping them. It's amazing how impressive it looks to be able to do something that I took for granted as a kid.)
