Not Bait

Finally managed to catch a decent fish with an artificial offering. This 40" fish took a yellow plug that I purchased back in March at the MSBA show from the Lonely Anglers booth. She went airborn outta the first (closest) wave to ambush the plug in the waters off of Magnolia. Great feeling and my hands don't stick of herring!

On another note, there are ACRES of baitfish all along the N. Shore and this is setting up to be one helluva weekend/fall.

friggen sweet man. i got some keeper size fish this morning, along with a 30" blue, n. shore. they were blasting 1/4" bunker. kinda hard to catch fish when they were that key'd in on tiny stuff.after the sun came up, it was just luck catching fish, casting into the mahem. most of mine came right at sunrise.
it has begun.
