Looks like it may be peanutbutter and fluff this Thanksgiving.

Amerigas sent me a bill once for $140 cos I didn't buy enough gas that year. OK, you owe me $250,000 cos I didn't paint all your trucks. They didn't laugh. I fired them. Gas companies...

It gets worse.
All summer/fall we were paying a discounted rate on the assumption we would consume at least 100 gallons for the year.
Now they want to charge us nearly double that rate for the complete refill, saying they don't offer the discounted rate any more.
So not only are they flipping on the discount, if they had filled the tank a few months ago it would have been at an even lower rate.
It's a freaking scam.

Just out of curiousity with the refill would your consumption have totalled 100 gals for the year?A full refill from Thanksgiving would've lasted to Dec 31.They would've known right there and then that you would or wouldn't be consuming 100gals.
The reason they offer the discount is the hope that you'll consume more.Do you conserve heavily in the hopes of saving money?
Say the average joe fills his tanks 3 times a year at an certain price but is offered a lower price for four fill-ups(ie. 100gals).What it comes down to is you've got to consume more product to get the discounted price but in the end you're spending more money to get that discounted price.Having a business that involves home heating and cooking ain't easy right now.You probably didn't get scammed you just needed to read the fine-print.Its a business, the more you use the less you pay that's how the money is made.
The reason for my big reply is this:I'm fairly familiar with the Ferrell family thru my G/F and her ex-husband and from what they've both said about the Ferrells I just can't believe you've been scammed.

We don't consume more to get a lower price, but we usually do use a 100 gallons...
I'm not saying it was an purposeful scam, just the entire industry seems to be very loose. Constant billing errors, no consistant pricing guidelines etc...

That's only for individuals selling privately over the Net.
Do what was done to Charlie to a "legit" business you better have your lawyer ready because you'll need him.
