Is there no one.........
who the democratic party can put forth as a viable candidate for Governor of Massachusetts? Tom Rielly is a dip sh*t! And he was Attorney General? Doesn't anyone who enters govt. pay thier taxes or loans as we struggle and do each year? Oh my God!

You'd think that as the AG, he might think about even a cursory background check of his running mate before going public with it
My wife has a good feel for politicians (and before anyone asks, she's waaaay to the left of me politically). She pegged John Edwards as a moron the first time she heard him speak on the radio. When she caught clips of Reilly's news conference on the tube today, her instant take on him was "world class dumbass".

Tom.. the guy who rubber stamped both the NStar rate hike, and the gas company rate hike?.. oh, both of those corps donated heavily to his Gubenatorial run.. how surprising... oke:
Seriously, choices for Guv, Pres. Senators, etc. etc.... WTF.. Great Reason for voter apathy... kinda like choosing how you wanna get shot.. no win... be great to have somebody to vote for, rather than against
So... when ya taking your papers out, Flap?

Mike...don't think too many people would be too far off guessing that any politician is a world class dumbass!
Rielly really showed his ass by not checking her background and then on the news last night he comes out and tells the media about how this is a whole new platform for him and his experience in this political arena is zero! Hey, yeah....lets vote him in!

Karl, last Governor I liked was Frank Sargent. Former Charter Skipper and boy did we have great trout fishing here on the cape back then. Ahh the memories.

And forgot to mention founder of Goose Hummock shop. Didn't he actually build the first building down by The Barley Neck in as well?

I think the Goulds, Willis and Bill, his parnters at the Goose built that one, Flap.
Sarge... .. he was a pissah... He came in the store one day, and one of our regulars, who was active in Republican politics, (remember when the cape was a republican stronghold?, yet they backed Sarge.. the "local" thing ), greated him, "Sarge... the best Republican Governor, the Democrats ever put in office!"... Sarge got a helluva chuckle outta that... another time, one of my co-workers greeted him with, "Hi Sarge, gee, your looking Great!".. he paused, and said... "Hell, I've made guys judges for saying less!"... he was well out of office by then ... he loved his hunting and fishing, for sure.

ooops, on the way back to work, my brain corrected itself.. What the fellah said was.. "The best Democrat Governor the Republicans ever elected".. Sarge was republican, but was a little left of the main stream of old time repubs...
Teddy.. well... don't get me started.. he has 8.5+ million already for his next run... against.. who? Riccardo Barros???... OK... sure....

Dead from the neck up
Ya, what a gross misjudgement of character and whatever else is involved on O'Reillys part. What is it with elected officials who dont want to pay taxes? He says he not very good at the politic part of running for office, but he sure knew how to squash a DUI in the fatal crash that involved someone who donated to his campaign.

I kinda think what she meant was, he's a dumbass even by the very low standard we apply to politicians.
Ah, the govs of my youth--Salty, "Chub" and Sarge. There was a Democrat in the mix there in the mid-60s but for the life of me I can't remember his name. I think he beat Peabody around 1964, maybe as a result of Landslide Lyndon's coattails. Has to be someone, as I can't imagine anyone with a name like Endicott "Chub" Peabody as a Mass Democrat
