Plug weight materials

My foreman had an interesting idea that I wanted to run by the builders here. Instead of lead for plug weighting, he thought we could cut round plugs out of corian scraps and put them inside. Any feedback on this? We will get some done this week and try to bring some to Plugfest. He's hoping to attend too.

How about turning corian??? A la Squidzee?
