Mass Derby 2001 Awards

This is from last months DMF news.

2001 big fish for Mass

Striped Bass 58 Ibs 4 oz
Bluefish 15 Ibs 9 oz
Cod 54 Ibs 3 oz
Fluke 14 Ibs
Haddock 10 Ibs 12 oz
Tautog 15 Ibs 8 oz
Winter Flounder 4 Ibs 6 oz
Black Sea Bass 5 Ibs 6 oz

That's some big fish there.

Do you think there will be a striper over 58 Ibs 4 oz this year ?

What a fish and it's not the record

What other fish do you folks go for ?

Me I like the light hit of the winter flounder

Did you get a chance to see the TWO 73 POUNDERS at the show?

58 will be beat this year by me on MV in October

15 9 the biggest bluefish? Suprised nothing bigger was entered...

Thanks for putting this up - say, who got the 58? Were the initials TK?

Yes steve that bluefish i gave you was bigger than that i think it ended up just under 18#. i think that was just the biggest fish that was entered. see that steve you ate a derby winner. where do you enter fish for that derby . are those entered at the official weigh station at some of the local tackle shops?

John the 58 pound striper was caught by a Daniel Dugan.

58 pounds is nuts
73 pounds now that's a cow !!

Mr kav most bait shops can fill out the weight slip then if has to be mailed into the DMF.

Me I'm going for a monster winter flounder this spring
