updates to '06 Korkers

I was going to put this in the sponsors specials, but it's more info then advertising, for the most part.

In response to studs falling out Korkers has increased the durometer of the rubber used in the push-in stud Korkers. Hopefully this will solve what has become a fairly common problem.

There is also a new/old model which has 32 push-in studs per foot versus the 20 seen in the lace up model most everyone has been carrying for the past few years. I know my old Korkers (5+ years ago) lasted a lot longer, had more studs (which didn't fall out as much), and better traction then the current lace up model. I'm not sure if it was just the build quality or the fact that my weight was distributed better over more studs. Time will tell...

As far as I know there is no update to the buckle style.

Effective later this week when our order arrives all Korkers we sell will be '06 spec and we will carry all 3 models; the K-5000 (buckle style), the K1100+ (32 studs per foot), and the K1100 (20 studs).

Pete,

Good news. I've been putting off buying a new pair and rehabing the old ones for a while now. Let us know when they arrive.

32 studs kool.
That means when 1/2 fall out after 2 nights I'll still have 16 left.
Korkers is another sub par product some company that obviously has no f'n clue tries to pawn off on us fisherman as a usable product. They Suck. The rubber used to to be different way stronger it had belts inside like tires. The new rubber is a joke.I usta have a pair last me at least a season. Now if I go out five nights in a row I'm walkin on sneakers. An don't bother replacing the studs they come out even faster.File em in the dumpster with mustad cut trebles.More garbage.Sorry Pete.I hope the new ones are actually improved.

FORE!
It's usually darkest just before it turns Black..
