How many spots do you fish?

Hey guys, I'm just curious, how many spots do you fish? Do you have a select few "pet" spots that you know really well or are you all over the place? I'd say I have about 5 general locations that I fish in the most, with 2-3 specific "spots" within those locations.

I'm pullin' a Sgt. Shultz on this one....

really though I tend to stay to my same spots locally..Ive put years into them....and still have much to learn.....prolly a half dozen spots....
some places... say the backside of the cape change year to year so you have to adapt and learn anew year after year....
nice to meet you this weekend by the way...

Thats a tough one, there are "spots" within the spots, 15 or more in the river alone, 20 maybe on a regular basis, there are a few others I use when times get tough...

I'd say i do 90% of my fishing in about 5 square miles with about 5 spots in there that I check out during the summer into the fall. I am always looking for new ones and at times will work my way up rips until I find the fish.

I am with slingah on this one. Locally I basically fish 4 spots. All of which are good at different times of the year. But lots of times I am not fishing locally. There are about 10 spots I fish that I dont cosier local.

from boston harbor to the block and all points in between. i enjoy learning new spots, it's work learning them - you pretty much accept that the first time somewhere is more of a recon trip to learn the lay of the land. i know my home waters well , but i get bored. cod and flounder are fun but i would rather chase albies, sea bass, fluke, and tog and they are few and far between locally.

I have early, mid and late season spots. I would say two or three early season spots (Mid May/First week of June) probably 4 or five mid-season spots(June/July into August) and more like 7 or 8 late season spots into late October when the fish are moving. We are quite fortuneate to live in such a fishy place as the N. Shore.

so true my friend, that is part of the reason why I posted this, with so many options it's hard to focus in.

Depends on the tide - moon - date- and if the gas price is up or down. Usually about 3 or 4 favorite beaches though.

Along the Jersey Shore, I can find myself anywhere from Sandy Hook to 120 miles South to Cape May depending on the season..
Really depends on exactly that time of the year and the migration patterns along the coast.. Then you add in our BackBays and the Spots become too numerous to count.. Although this year I plan on concentrating more towards the Northen end of the State and closer to home (Barnegat Inlet). I waste alot of time leaving fish to find other fish but then again thats what makes it interesting to me - mixing it up during a outing...

2 spots for the time being.

1. Atlantic ocean
2. Pacific ocean

Have at it I burned 2 spots. Bring on the torches, and pitch forks.
Thinking of giving San Andres off the pacific coast of colombia a shot in december.

Domination takes full concentration..
