For the rain I wear the grundens pull-over with the hood. When it's super snotty out there I put that over my dry top.

I've considered this:
http://www.simmsfishing.com/za/SIM?P...&PROD.ID=51864
I decided to buy the Guy Cotten Menfall which is pretty much the same as the Grunden's Briggs but the wrist cuffs are tighter and seam like they'll keep water out better.

The AquaSkinz Rampage is a great top for what you might be looking for. It has a hood which is removable for when you don't need one.
Overall an excellent top with much versatility. Take a look at it before you invest in soemthing that may not fill the void you're looking to fill.

Kadir

and take surf up over your coat, up your sleaves/waist and down your waders... Ain't fashion, it's staying dry.

thanks for the helpful comment. don't think he's trying to look good but just rather just trying to stay dry so he can fish longer. when it's 40 degrees, raining and your standing on a rock getting hit with spray every so often it's kinda nice not to having a wet mop for hair and water running down your arms and back. Just my opinion.

Grunden's S'wester. Size XL and I can add a wool watch cap underneath when it gets really cold. Front flap down, and even my glasses stay dry in driving rain. Unlike hoods, no loss of peripheral vision. The straps are junk, needed to replace them with nylon shoe strings.

I like the shower cap idea that was good. But really the simms hat would be great if it wasn't for that damn chin strap.

I always use a backwards baseball hat, when it is cold or raining I have my LL Bean wader jacket and it keeps out 90% of the water, Aqua Skinz also has that hood, I have never tried it but it is worth concidering.

Waxed cotton baseball hat for me as well when the weather is warm. Otherwise a fleece cap.
I've seen that Simms hat when the rep brought it by. I almost picked up a few for the shop (and one for myself) but I flinched at the $50 price tag. It is a nice piece of clothing though, I still might get one. It will definitely be a bit intense in warm weather, imo. Much better for the fall run...
