IBM will build a next-generation supercomputer for the U.S. Energy Department with
the potential to achieve a sustained speed of
1,000 trillion calculations per second, or one petaflop, the department said on Wednesday.
The new computer, dubbed "
Roadrunner", will be built at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico.
heh heh heh ..... it'll run on the LINUX OS......
wow!......yeah and can i get some fries with that.....
maybe it can be artificially intelligent for once...or keep constant tract of the PETA people.... or we could pre-tag all stripers first
and then release them into the sea so we always know where they are at a moments notice... yeah thats the ticket...
