What would you use...

for sluggo weights if you were rigging some right now and had no sluggo weights? It seems like I saw finish nails mentioned somewhere... how big? Do you hit them with the glue, as they don't have the pronounced "ribs" of the sluggo weights?

Underlay nails at Home Cheapo. Cut the head off. They are ring shanked.

just file a few notches on whatever thin nails you have, cut off the head of the nail and presto slip-em in. they stay put

When Im stuck for sluggo weights, I use 1-11/2 inch bits of roll solder.

Thanks guys. I rigged up a few and never even ended up using them. I finally gave in to the pogie monster, needed to feel a decent fish as it has been awhile since I have even been out. I got this one on my 3rd chunk, and though I tried to perk her up I felt she was too tired so I brought her home for the table. Going back to the great current tonight to try again, no bait. (maybe just 1 pogie...)
