PLUG DISPLAY - UP!!!
Well, we finally got the plug display installed at The Sail Loft Restaurant in Portsmouth. Didn't take that long once the display case was built, and it looks great.
Another thank you to everyone who donated plug(s)...given the responses it looks like the future charity auction will benefit the MS Society...and hopefully the proceeds will bolster the donations that RISAA makes from it's yearly fishing tournament.
I will contact RISAA and see if perhaps we can auction the display at the fishing expo in Providence. Given the large crowd this may provide the best results.
The only task to complete is to hang a side frame with a description of the display, including all the members names to ensure credit is given where due.
If you haven't already, please send me a brief PM of how you would like to be noted and a description of your plug. Details on this can be found here...
http://www.striped-bass.com/Stripert...ad.php?t=34367
Be sure to include your mailing address so I can send a coupon for some free food if you wish to stop by.
Thanks again for everyone's help!

the diaganal planks showing up behind the plugs bug me. I dont know, maybe i am just an art fag, or maybe its the stellla artois talking here, but that frame needs a white back ground to make the plugs stand out more.

I gotta agree with Nebe...put a nice solid wood background behind it....the diagonal definitely take away from it.
Nebe, if you are a big stella fan, one of my buds up here is the Distributor for the entire NE region....does bass ale too.....He has what i calll the jesus cooler.....one cooler that always feeds the masses, never empty. Spent many a night fishing in his canoe trying to put a dent into it.......

.......
art appreciation is respective to one's understanding of nature....
the eyes follow lines....it can't be helped....
you try and look at the plugs, but your brain (eyes) keep trying
to put the diagnal lines back together where the vertical plugs
cross them....or intersect them...
look at this version of the display and you'll see the plugs more!

Yes, plexy...and it's screwed to the wall. Someone would have to either have time to dismantle, or be in a position to smash it apart to get at the plugs.
I thought the same thing about the background before we but it up, but it isn't that distracting in person as you can walk right up to it...
Yes, it's the old Schooners.

i think the display is amazing....
i don't use photoshop...
i use paint shop pro.
i just wanted to illustrate the difference
of having no lines in the background.
it's very well done....
kuddos to the builders of
the plugs ....true art.

If you really sent one asap I could probably get it in.
Or I could set it on top and just wire it into the 120v the light will plug into
