Question Different types of rigs/setups?

Ok I know we have been chatting about this rig/setup question in the past, but here goes again. I want to know what different types of rigs/setups there are. I have heard about the texas rig,hi/low rig,etc....Can someone give me a web site that explains these in details? Or can someone explain them to me? I have been trying the sinker and leader straight shot with no luck. I figure something has to work. I have been putting my time in, and getting nothing in return. I have tried all different types of bait,plastic,jigs,etc....So if anyone knows a good setup/rig that brings good results, PLEASE share this information with me

Thanks for your time and help

Happy <><ing!

HI-LO Rig:

Tie a barrel swivel on the leader material. Tie a dropper loop about 12 inches below the swivel. Tie another dropper about 12-18 inches below the first one. Tie a snap swivel about 12-18 inches below the bottom dropper. Put your hooks of choice on the droppers. Put the weight on the snap swivel. I use palomer knots at both swivels and to connect to the main line.......

You can substitute 3-way swivels for the droppers, but I don't like that - more knots, more tackle, etc.......means more points of failure......

You can do the same thing using only one dropper and one hook. I like the two, as you can put two different types of bait on, or two of the same bait.......if one is gone due to crabs or, better yet, missed hits, they can always come back for dessert.....
