Angry Please

Keep an eye out for my stolen goods please. Things haven't been going well for me lately. I've had some medical issues ongoing. I was due at the hospital at 10 AM for some treatment. I figured I'd have time to hit a few shore spots locally before my appointment. So, I throw a couple rods and some plugs in the back of my truck. Stop at the local Dunkin Donuts for a coffee. I'm not in there two minutes and when I come out, gone. Both rods and a bag of plugs and terminal tackle. Nothing super high end, but I just can't afford to replace any of it right now. I filed a report with the PD without much hope of retrieving any of it.
If you see any of it popping up on craigslist or other sources, please conatct me.
Gear included;
St. Croix Ben Doerr conv surf rod 10' 6"
ABU 7000 CS Pro Rocket loaded with green Cortland Spectron
An Ugly Stik Lite Intercoastal 7'
Shimano Baitrunner 3500A
Blue plug bag with some very nice custom plugs in it

I'm not as concerned about the Ugly Stik and Baitrunner (although I want them back as well), but there were some really nice custom plugs in that bag and that St. Croix/Abu setup was one of my favorites. I just want them back

Again, If you happen to see anything that resembles these, please let me know. Some crackhead will probably sell everything for a couple dime bags. I'll never see any of it again. And I can't afford to replace any of it right now.
I"M FRIGGEN PISSED OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Steve. No this was in Quincy.

Thanks guys. I think with all the $hit that's been going on this year (my wife has had major surgery as well), this just hit me hard and I reached my breaking point and had to vent.

Make sure you call the local tackle shops sometimes these clowns will try to peddle the stuff to customers outside the shops as they come and go. Happened this year (in Quincy).
I guess i'll lock it anywhere, anytime now.

Beating thieves is a good way to vent also..

I've got an Okuma Inspira IA65 I can donate. Its yours if your ever in the Newport area.

Arrow hey bigbo?

you don't happen to have any pictures of your gear by any chance do ya...? as in the plug bag or rod and reel set ups....
list: of the plugs ect.

only because it would help us I D it if any of us saw it for sale...
on e-bay or craig's List....

i hope this never happens again to you.... sincerely

but i think you need to come up with a better (different) game plan
to prevent your gear from getting swiped.....the next time.
forgive me for bringing it up now....
not trying to rub salt in your wound....
hope ya feel better ..... soon....

No. I don't have pics of the rods, reels, or plug bag. I usually do take better precautions and I eyed my stuff as well as scanning the parking lot. It really wasn't that busy so I said screw it. I'll only be in there a minute or so. My mistake.

Thanks for the offers for gear guys. Much appreciated, but not necessary. I'm done. I'll shop around next year. I've still got some boat gear.

People can be real scum sometimes, BigBo.

Come over this weekend and you have free reign over anything in my basement. Seriously .... I could outfit half a dozen people at once: may be more. Lots of good stuff to pick from.

U know my cell - give me a buzz tomorrow: see ya soon.

Check the local pawn shops.Iwent into one looking for cheap house speakers for the basement and was surprised to see a couple of surf rods hanging on the wall.Nothing decent though.

The tide waits for no one.Neither do I.

BigBo,

I will keep my eyes peeled here in Quincy. I pass a lot of shore spots commuting to and from work. I have no problem walking up to people to "chat" and take a peek at their gear. Hope you get it back man!

Hey BigBo, that really bites, you need anything and want to fill a bag, beleive me we got plenty of good wood to spare and rods and reels as well, give us a call if you need anything at all, we would be glad to help.
We had this happen to us a few years back down by the back river, theives took 3 custom rods & reels that were locked in the truck, worth about a grand, broke the window to get it, we were only gone for a few minutes, but if I ever and I do mean ever catch some son of a B that stole anything from me I would take his hands and put them on cement and take my aluminum base ball bat and smash every bone in his freakin hands and ask him if he wants to steal somehting now. Just burns my arse!!!

Thanks for the offer. You don't owe me though. You hooked me up before with a couple nice plugs and jigs in the trade. Thank you though. Much appreciated.
Thanks again to all for the well wishes and helpful offers. Some good people on this site.

I would like to thank the kindness of a few people in their words of support and offers to help out with gear. The thoughts and deeds are very touching and mean a lot in keeping my spirits up. I know I'll probably never get my own gear back, but the support of the great people of this site has given me the strength to look past that. Material things can be replaced. You guys are awesome.
Thanks all.
