my thoughts exactly but don't get caught being a vigilante.
first detain(ahem) them, then get their name, address, hand them to the cops and take a cop directly to their home in search of the other stolen fishing gear if you're sure you got the right guy who's been doing the theivery.

I hate theives

Lock your stuff up, keep it out of sight.

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.

It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.

Boy - you would think that with all the tourism bucks that breachway pulls in they could stake it out and catch them....
The did it a few years back - I think they caught them in a few days

Lightbulb i wonder..............

what does it cost to hire a private detective....maybe find one who's also into fishing....

the tracking chip is sounding like a better idea each time i read about this.

and lojack....how big is that unit....anyways...

maybe instead of having after hours and salty ect. sitting on a whole bunch (box) of goofed -oops- plugs
....that are not worth trying to repair
they could be transformed into dummy plugs... that won't really work....but have nice paint jobs...
and look real enough to fool a crook. then you can hide the lojack
sender unit in the handle of the tackle box....or somethin like dat.

If your going to leave unattended and/or unsecured rods and reels in a truck then why not just leave the keys in the door and make it easier for the thieves.

Years ago my friend Scott Slocum use to do that very thing. Just left the truck unlocked because he got sick and tired of fixing windows. he smoked at the time and the only thing they ever stole was his cigarettes.

No boat, back in the suds.

a friend of mine had his rods stolen out of his truck while he was sleeping in it. two rods and gear. they climbed into the bed of the pickup then loosen the sliding window and made off with his gear. he stills talks about what he will do when he finds them. a couple of months back a house was broken into in my neighborhood. the kids were stealing valuables then selling them on ebay etc...just to pay for their drugs...half the high for them is the stealing..oke:

There is no limit to what some people will do when there are no consequences. "If you don't leave, I'm going to call the police" is not a consequence, by the way.
