Rod tip size chart

I have a blank that I am building. I plan to take 6 inches off of the top to make it a 7 ft rod. What I am looking for is tip top sizes so I know the correct spot to cut for a given tip top. Now you are asking why cut at all. I got a geal on a close out St. Croix blank that was 6" longer than I wanted. I checked with CMS in New Bedford and they have done this many times. So with that do the sizes corrispond with MM or is there a chart so I came use a calliper to cut in the proper spot.

The rod tip sizes are in 64ths of an inch, at least that is the way Fugi does it. So what you are measuring is the tube size and then make up you mind what size ring your going to use. The rod you have will probably be around a 5,6,7 for the tube and you'll most likely have a 8, 10 or 12 ring.
