It's not a plug but....
I think you all might get a kick out of it. I have been trading/collaberating/corresponding with some midwest decoy builders. The wood body is mine, Dale did the fins and paint. I have several fish he made and collaberated on with others. The fisherman cuts a hole in the ice and covers it with a darkhouse. The fisherman can see into the water, but the fish can't see up through the hole. The fisherman then drops the decoy into water and jigs it on a short stick to lure a pike tothe hole. When in range the fisherman then spears the pike.
Bigfish---these are what we talked about over at M+D's the other day.

Those things are crazy!
What's the strategy? Set up tip ups on the other side of the lake, trudge across the lake, cut a hole in the ice, drop the decoy in and try to beat the frightened fish back across the lake where they'll be comforted by a buffet of shiners?
Adam, they look awesome, almost like Samurai Fishing Lures. Nice work!

I wish I could could claim credit for the chicken fish. Dale, a guy in ohio did that one. Its hanging in my garage. I have several of my own in the works now-bodies and fins done, no lead no paint yet.

I am orginally from Ohio. When I visit home I occasionally visit a decoy builder in the area. Stuff is amazing, as is that one.
