Why are there locked-Jaw but empty-stomach S-B?

Hi S-B members:

I have experiened slower action too. when compared cuurent actions with those actions of early May and June. And I also found that those two keepers I had caught two weeks ago have both empty stomach.-- I have more than 30 schoolees but no keeper last weeks.

I am wonder whether those adult S-Bs (>34") don't need that much food at this time of year or they are too scare to take anything because we ,human-being had hook them or their adult friends too many times in their life time (They may have a discussion board like our "S-B talk" somewhere in the deep ocean )

Besides, I frequently experience pull (hit) and drop action---Arn't they smart (they have brain also, we should not look them down). I must change my fire-line which is sensitive enough that both I and fish can sense each other.
