Bill if i remember correctly, i think that Gary told me that the hull was cast from the original bertram mold. if the new boat is the same it has got to be a nice boat

Robbie Briggs has the molds and is making the boat now. The last time I saw the molds(2 years ago) they were pretty banged up sitting on the side of a building in commerce park in chatham, before he got them.

My father had one for years, it was a great boat and very seaworthy for a 19'. Dad used to go for everything from cod to tuna in it.

I am not thinking this year, as we willl be in a contract year next year. If we sign a contract, I maybe boat shopping next year, if we go out then it will have to wait.

Cape Codder
Spoke with Robbie Briggs the other day and he told me that they raised the deck a few inches to make for drier feet, probably the only improvement you could make on that boat. Didn't know he and my dad go back to when they were in their twenties, they were swapping stories of the days of old which was very interesting. It's amazing how much you can pick up when you just sit back and listen.

If anyone out there is interested I have the first Cape Codder to be built since 2000 in the mold and am working on it daily and is for sale now. I'm going to build these boats on a limited basis maybe 6 or 8 per year. Give me a heads up if you'ld like to see it. Tight Lines to all.
