Cape lodging
Soo..
Anniversary is coming up in august, and we dont have the time to do a few days on the Vineyard like planned.
Our first weekend away was to the cape a number of years ago.
Anyone recommend a fairly middle of the road place to stay between sandwich and chatham? probably just one night which might be a PITA with the whole 2 night minimum thing up there...
fishing probably not an option, but if it is on the water I may sneak my 3pc rod

the red jacket off bass river is an awesome place. book it soon though. fills up quick. sea crest is nice but can get mad crowded and i dont like crowds. also, popponessett sometimes has some space but im not sure if they still rent out or not. hope that helps.

Bryan,
If you're in the chatham area shoot me a PM. I'll be happy to point you in the right direction for some good places to eat and such...

The Bradford in Chatham is nice and is in a good location. They might do 1 night stays and the rooms are very nice and reasonable. Also, great fishing close by. Chatham Bars Inn is great, but I doubt they will do 1 night and they are very expensive. Ocean Edge in Brewster is very nice and I think they will do 1 night stays. My wife and I went last summer for 1 night and when checking in, we told them it was our anniversary weekend. They guy at the front desk upgraded us to a $400/night room at no extra charge. We'll definitely go back there again. Check on thier website because they have internet only deals that you won't get if you call. They have a good beach on the property that looks fishy, but since I was celebrating my anniversary, I didn't even attempt to pack a rod. As previously mentioned, Red Jacket is nice and they have live entertainment during the summer.

Lighthouse Inn in West Dennis is nice, too, and you're in a spot that's not high traffic, but easy to venture from for whatever kind of entertainment you're looking for.
