He was so pumped, he still talks about it. Hes dying to get

Thanks everyone. Yeah my son still can't stop talking about it. He was rigging stuff all winter, psyched up for this, I just had to let him pounce on the 1st rod to go off.

Jimmy, Yeah, that's in my new boat, it handles the water pretty good.

Yeah that is great! I took my son a week or so ago before a sent him off to camp for a couple weeks. He got his first tuna about 75#. He thought he knew alot about fishing until he strapped on this gear... What a battle! I hear him often describing the blow-by-blow fight to his buddies on the phone. It is amazing to watch them peel line off the reel...really something. That sound is just amazing, I love it.

A friend lost one that took over 500 yrds of braid on the initial run and lost it after a 40 min fight....he was heartbroken.

All of the fish we caugh this year were packed with sand eels about 6-9" long! If the DMF can re-establish the herring fishery offshore we might actually grow some true giants again. But for now this is fun. I am trying to get one on spinning gear now.
