The young man still has it

My son doesn't get to go fishing too often with work, GF, and now school.

Even though it was a weekend day () we ventured out. I'll post a pic of the insanity later.

Anyway we find a nice pod of bait with only a couple of boats near it. He snags a pogie, and I tell him to just hold it out there. WHAM.... Big hit and hes on. He fights the fish like a pro and I bring over the rail. She barely fit in my net. She weighed in around 31-32 on my rapala grip thingy. He was quite happy. No more bass joy, but plenty of blues. We left early as it was just getting crazier.

50 boats per pogie

WOW was it nutz out there today, way too many boats in small areas trying to snag a couple of baits. Powering into the schools, driving over them, zooming back and forth, they pushed every bait fish down within a mile radius.

I kept my distance and found some pods here and there. What was happening in the pics was just WRONG. How could they even bring a fish to the boat if they caught one? It was like a freakin marina. The pic does not do justice to the number of boats in one small area. and they were in the channel.

Glad to be home right now.......

Glad your son got a nice fish !
But. posting pics on the internet with the island in the background
(location not too tough to figure out) isn't going to help with the number of boats there the next few days !

LETS GO BRANDON

True, but it ain't gonna make one iota of a difference the word has been out for days. They will be there and other spots no matter what. Thats what the weekend brings..

One boat brings one more, those two bring two more, those four bring.... and so on and so on.......

I'm going to stick to weekdays !!!!

nice fishy!
if you take your bait away from all the boat traffic and parking lot around the schools youll catch alot more bass, and bigger ones, i have found.

live to fish. fish to live. rod tips high.
