I was visiting one of my preferred tackle shops in Quincy today during lunch. Just chit chatting when a couple guys walked in and said, get the scale. They weighed a couple of low 40lbers. In and around the harbor on pogies. Said their arms were too tired by noon to fish anymore.....

Maybe a handful (including mine).......

Too many folks pull/winterize their boats too early.

reading a report gets me excited to go fishing but unless you can get out there within the next 24 hours i'd say its pretty useless.

in fact seeing these posts kinda help me figure out where NOT to go.

Went yesterday there were no fish in that "general" area. Plus a little birdie told me that was not EXACTLY where it was happening.

Don't forget, as a wise man told me once.....fish have fins and when they wiggle them, they move.

There were only about 10 boats total out yesterday, so even when bait showed it was not a big problem.

Just the same we moved away from the few boats that were there and went to a "secret" spot of mine, we were all alone and we hammered bass and blues for a good couple of hours. Then it got REALLY windy and it was tough to fish. We moved further and to hooked up some nice FAT blues, then headed back to the dock. Saw multiple blitzes all the way back. We passed right by them....

I am ending my season on a high note, great day of fishing on the last day of October. UNREAL...I am pulling her this weekend. Hope this happens again next year.
