Three day weekend has a reson
This Monday is a holiday to remember those who served this
great country in war and peace. I thank God I did my time
during peace but I will always ask a older guy if he did time
in WWII or Korea and thank him for being a VET.
If our losses today don't bring a choked-up throat then we
don't deserve a holdiay. Give our Vets, young and old, a small
T & P this weekend and a mention at Thanksgiving grace.
And Tight Lines.

i am thankful for all my friends and family who serve.
in a way i wish i could be there next to them. but cant. and i know they wouldn't wish it upon me.
to them i am grateful. and also with the current state of affairs sympathetic. they don't get the credit they deserve.

Not fer nuthin but it kind of saddens me that a thread for our vets started yesterday has only had 12 responses until now.
Are vets so lowly considered these days?

Nah, it's just a slow weekend in general, not a lot of action across the boards.
I can't watch the news without thinking of our troops.
Paulie, once again...Griffin thank's you for your service
Same goes for all you other men and women.

I watch a lot of "War" on the tube this weekend . Its great with all the old vets interviewed. Its real life info from the very people who were there and did it. Hard to find real info these days.
yes , thanks to all the vets who served our country.

That'd be me.
But no complaints here, my 4 years in the Navy were as fun as they were rewarding.
God Bless the USA and all those protecting it.
