If Kyle Boller, Rex Grossman, Brian Griese et al are NFL QBs, Eli Manning is an NFL QB.
Will he ever be a top flight QB like his brother? Very unlikely. But he is already a serviceable journeyman. Like most other QBs, he is accurate enough when he has time to throw, and a scattergun under pressure.
He has also been hurt by dropped passes and blown routes run by his receivers--Shockey being the most guilty. It also doesn't help that Burress is playing basically on one leg.
Overhyped out of college? No question. Did the Giants way overpay for him? You betcha. But to say he isn't an NFL QB is unfair--given the state of the position around the league these days.
He can't be exposed any more than he already has--everyone knows Eli's strengths and weaknesses. He can't look any worse tonight than he did against the Vikings a few weeks pack when he served up 6 picks.
