Mackeral....

Would it be worth while to try for macks from shore, say like the jetty at the east end of the canal?

When they are in you can get ton's from the east end from shore!!

I haven't heard of any yet, but they should be in any day now!! Some sun would help thats for sure!!

Hey Fishermantim, when they're in I've seen loads of macs caught at the end of the jetty at Scusset beach.

Which tide would be more productive? I would presume that the westerly flow would bring them in close to the mouth of the canal, where the easterly flow would push them out, but fish don't always follow the logical course.
