Little miss Piggy
Fish was 48" long with a 29" girth and went 44lbs. She fought like a champ and took a 6oz Butterfly jig.

Thanks guys....It's finally starting to set in after talking to many canal guys. I feel like an ass after acting like it's just another 40lber....I didn't realize that the canal had it's certain class of fish & a fish of this size in the canal equals a 50+lb fish from the surf to some, remeber im a 3 month newbie at the ditch. I have always fished the canal, but not like this year...living 5min away I had no choice but to suck it up & explore it and look already setting a trend...lol..I think everyone I saw today had a butterfly jig on..lol I am now greatfull to the fish gods for my fish and asking for a 50 out of the ditch...lol

lol...good things come to people who try something new. Good job w/ the butterfly jig. I never would have thought something like that would work...must have looked like a giant crippled herring to the cow you caught ;-)
