Question Van Staal Accessories???

Anyone have Van Staal's Titanium Pliers?

Which would you feel are be better suited for stripers / blues in the surf, 6" Needle Nose or 7" Big Game?

And... do they make / sell their plug bags any longer?

Thanks,
Rob

Yes, they still make the plug bag. The Saltwater Edge in Newport carries them.

It's the lightest bag I have ever used (and lightest is key for me, neck problems), and man you can stuff alot of plugs in them. Well worth the money.

Any one have a picture of the "torpedo knob" the offer for there reels. Santa is bringing me a Silver 250. Might need to put in a change request for the knob as well.

tattoo - the torpedo was discontinued. i got one. if you want it, it's yours. it is a gold one, though. i put it on my black 250 for a while, but went back to the original. by the way, any idea how much SWE charges for those bags?

forgot to add about the pliers. i have the smaller ones. thought they would be fine, i was wrong. the larger ones are much better suited for the surf! make sure you get the lanyard, too! it has saved mine on MANY occasions.

T. Send it with the bottle plug.

I think the retail price for the bag is something like $129.00.

Going to buy another one. One for light, one for dark.

Tattoo,

Do you have the double or single bag? And... I know they make excellent quality stuff but... are they really "that" waterproof?

Thanks for the feedback on the pliers "t.".

Double row, I'll post a picture of how much junk you can fit in one when I get home.

By far, it's the best surf bag out there.

Thanks Tattoo!
I think I'll just order me up one of those bags and the 7" pliers while I'm at it!

Guess I better go update that "WHATS on your x-mass list?" thread!

Tubes - Bill told me once to take shampoo bottles, cut the bottoms and flip them upside down. Leave the tops on either partially opened or periodically remove them to drain any water buildup if the bag gets soaked... Different bottles fitting different sized plugs...

Another good thing about the VS bag is they put way more velcro on the flap than other bag makers which is great when your a rock oaf like myself. BTW $129 for the double row bag is a good price.
