Best Thanksgiving Day wishes to ya, Karl
And to the rest of the S-B gang, too
I dunno, if it even cheers up a grumpy old bastage like me, how can it be bad
The only problem is, this year I'm working Thanksgiving Day, so I'm not gonna be able to help peel potatoes, carrots, yams, apples, wrestle the bird in and out of the oven, shoosh the dogs away from the prep area 500 times, get told to be careful 1000 times with this, that and the other...wait a minute, maybe there is an up side to it
Looks like I just have to come home from work at 4 to smell turkey in the hall and put on the feed bag...
I dunno, maybe working that day isn't so bad after all
A lotta work for the little woman tho - maybe she oughta get a special treat for being so good - maybe get her a case of beer - okay, alright, maybe a nice champagne - and a case of beer
Anyhoo....let's enjoy it, men, it's a damned fine time to be with family and friends!

Happy Thanksgiving
don't try to eat your weight in turkey

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.
1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!
It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.

saw a documentary on T - day
the real holiday....was celebrated with Venison and it centered more around the early October Harvests
of apples, squash and pumpkins which were Vital because of their extended shelf life.
Sadly, many of the original thanksgiving crowd didn't make it during the next year as well as the Indians dying from diseases they encountered from partying (celebrating) with the Pilgrims.
striped bass was more than likely plentiful too and on the table...
I am most thankful for all my good friends at S-B

MMMmmmmmm...Hot turkey dinner with all the fixins'
then either a late day turkey snack or an open faced turkey sammich slathered in gravy, then a second sammich on Friday with all the leftover meat, stuffin' and taters, and then turkey soup for the weekend with ANY leftover pickins' missed by the vultures.
Of course there's my Aunt Bea's cheesecake (Yes I have an Aunt
Bea), my brother-in-laws pecan pie, my sister-in-laws pistachio nut cake, and who could be allowed to forget "mom's apple pie"?
MMMMMMMMmmmmmmm!
