704z silent drag?

I got a used 704z and dont have much experience with em. I have a 706 and the drag sings a nice song when pulled, this 704 doesnt make any noise at all. It is very smooth when turned by hand, i havent used it yet. Is this normal, or is something going on with the reel. Id hate to have the first fish i catch on it be a good one if the drag is funky. Thanks guys.

Everything is better on the rocks.

Probably just the clicker on the bottom off the spool is disengaged. I disable it on most of my penn z/greenies, it doesn't effect the reel at all.

You can snap those off as well.
I snap the one off my VS250 and they fix it every time it is serviced

I prefer a nice singing, very audible, welcoming, and heart-warming drag.

I disabled mine. Nothing like a loud drag to bring friends a running. Smooth and silent. It's not really the drag making the noise anyway.
