That was pretty interesting, Nebe -

I also liked the articles about using your moistened finger in your dryer outler as a voltage meter and smelling your auto exhaust
to see if the fuel mix is too rich...

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.

Another Darwin candidate, Nebe - just a way of clearing out the shallow end of the gene pool...

Had a guy on my ship, A southern boy for South Carolina, that used his finger to see if a terminal in the radar system was live.......burned a hole through his finger. after that he was known by his nickname "The Probe"......Whenever he'd come around someone would always say "Here comes The Probe"...true story

he blew up a few other thing during his career on the ship too....

"If you're arguing with an idiot, make sure he isn't doing the same thing."
