New Lures from Point Jude
We have a few new lures coming out for this year. I will start with the biggest...the "Hammer'n Groove" vertical jig. They come in 9 oz and 7 oz. in gold or silver. They have a hammered finish and come rigged and ready to fish with VMC Tuna Tamer hooks attached to 300 lb test kevlar cord on a 300 lb Owner solid ring.
I have incorporated Wobblehead grooves on the lower half of the jig ,which gives it exaggerated flutter and flash on the drop. It has already caught Black Fin tuna and a 103 lb Yellowfin tuna in the Gulf, and cod up here. It will be great for sea bass and of course Stripers . YO -YO THIS MAMMA! When the stripers come into the bay this spring in search of bunker, this lures is going to be DEADLY.

New Tube Tail Po-Jees
We have added tube tail Po-Jees to the line up on the 2 1/2 oz .Po-Jee. White fire tail and florescent green tube tails on the sand eel profiled Po-Jee proved very effective on a limited run in NJ and Montauk at the end of last year.

Gold 3 1/2 oz Nautilus and 2 oz Sea Scallop
The gold 3 1/2 oz Nautilus and gold 2 oz Sea Scallop will now join the already successful gold Butterfish and Mullet in the Point Jude line-up. Good in low light conditions like sunset ,sunrise ,and "dirty "water, the gold color will sometimes work when nothing else will. These lures will come with the option of a plain hook or dressed hackle.

I love the Po-Jees with feathers, one of my fav metal lures but now with the tube tails the fish at the Race at dawn will have less of a chance. Very Nice.
|
Why even try.........

Are you going to be at Stonehill for the MSBA show, Joe? If so, will you have the entire PJ line with you?

Real nice, Joe!
I can see the Golden Mullet working well on those big Indian River redfish - dressing the hook with a green grubtail ...
My cousin lives in Christmas FL and I may be able to field test 'em first hand to add another species to the Pt Jude roster on my next visit with any luck.
Yup, two thumbs up, Joe - varrry varrry nahce ...

the full moon looks orange sometimes when it rises because the light has to pass through more of the atmosphere then when the moon is higher in the sky. the blue light waves scatter but the red light waves pass through...... if you were wondering.

Here's a pic of the silver 9 oz prototype It shows the 6.5 300lb. test Owner solid ring better. I don't think there will be a problem with it.This one has hollow core spectra-200lb on the assist hook but I improved that to the 300lb kevlar cord, which is stronger and much more abrasion resistant.
