Herring Screensaver
Here's a new photo from yesterday, it should be large enough for a decent screensaver.

bloocrab,
We can only hope that upcoming regulations on the mid-water boats and time and territory closures will help bring them back in full force. The run I was at was pretty strong and while 2008 saw a big improvement over the previous two years it was still half of what it was before the bottom dropped out.
They also installed an eel ladder and it was nice to see some glass eels that weren't going off to Japan.

Here's a question for everyone:
When the herring are running strong, what are your favorite BIG BASS lures and what colors work best?

Oh, and looking at the picture, do you think eyes on a lure make a big difference?

9-12" sluggo in white or pink early on and then a yellow 2oz pencil until the end.

EdgeMan,
I'm doing fine. I was talking about you today. I toldTrev Gowdy we should fish snook with you in July and maybe permit in the inlet as well. How was your tarpon bite in July last year? Go through a few blue claws?
Mike

How is a eel ladder different than a regular fish ladder?
