Needles and Pencils

here are a few more of my winter plugs.. With the warm weather forecast i have been thinking about fishing this afternoon...

I like to use needles up at Cranes' beach in may/June.. esp the smaller ones like these white and yellow ones.

The pencils are medium and small in my favorite pencil colors... ivory and white with some sparkle I like the Afterhours pencil design and sometimes add a flat bottom but not on this batch..

I have know learned not to put too thick of an etex coating or you run into problems like the white pencil with the pink lateral ine.. blotchy/uneven thickness due to uneven curing.. thinner/even coat is better in my hands

Really like those pencils. Got the same Afterhours version and I like it so much I stopped using it for fear of losing it before I could copy it (sorry Don ). One more thing to do before spring.

Thanks guys.. I got those small eyes at janns netcraft but I think CC tackle has them too.

can't get enough of pencils.. the smallest profile change makes it look soo different.

I also really like the flat area in front of the eyes on needles.

That olive plug is a reproduction I made after seeing pics here of an antique design called the Slick Nike... Some of the collectors can tell you more about this design but here is the picture(s) I was trying to copy when I made it

I have yet to fish it but I agree it is wicked sexy looking... nice curves

those eyes are the luminescent eyes that saltys has.. Charge them with a flash light and they glow for 2-3 minutes
