MSBA........

didn't suck. In fact I thought it was pretty damn good. I think I was in and out of the show last year in 20 minutes and empty handed. Stayed for a few hours today and walked out with some Guppy pencils, custom wood, PJ tied tails and metal, and a g loomis 1064 at 30%off what I've seen it for just about everywhere else.

Company was even better than the shopping! Tons of familiar faces from here. Great seeing everyone.

Nice job MSBA crew.

I was around in the morning, thought it was a decent show, couldn't get the bluefin out front hooked up on my hauler though. Man the thing is sweet.

Went today and thought it was o.k. Seemed to be fewer vendors than in years past. MSBA did a nice job with everything as usual. I bought a few Salty kits and some Point Jude bargain bin tins. And I had to talk myself out of a new Lami from Goose Hummock. They had some good deals.
I was hoping to see more custom plugs, although CMS had a nice selection. I probably would have bought some, but I already have just about everything there that I liked. I enjoyed talking with Bill from Bill & Jules and the Point Jude brothers. And, Salty's eye candy was nice.

Luds, what are the Guppy pencils? I must have missed them.

Fun Show. Got some custom wood, plastics, tins, some rods. Talked with a lot of guys from the board. I think it was definitely better than last year. I was out like you last year with a few saltys in 30 minutes.

Solid show. Picked up a few necessities (Salty's, Brothers Jude, GotStrypers). Did think it was a little smaller then previous years, but still solid, and I will continue to go.

Great seeing everyone. Great show. Highlight of my day was talking to a 93 year old gentleman who still fishes and drives. 80 years saltwater fishing. Fished and friends with all the greats Gibbs,F. Roman, etc... Stories galore. A real pleasure talking to him. Don't loose his number Peter.

Always enjoy the show..did think it was a quite a bit smaller than past years. Spent most of my day keeping an eye on my dad and was really appreciative of the number of old vet's and some young bucks who took the time to say hello to him. Highlight of his day was checking out the booth with all the old plugs and Shaffer tourn. pins and "reminding" me that he has a bunch of those "old pins " and plugs laying around the house...and of course the MSBA booth where pic's of many of his old friends, many long gone, were on prominent display to bring back some memories of the good old days.

Enjoyed show but agree it seemed smaller and less crowded. I do like the location and the weather was great too. I hope more can try to support these shows. It would be worse if we didn't have them, they help us get through these last months of winter/early spring.

I always get to meet new folks and talk with some of you more well known for a few minutes. Bought a couple of more Salty Kits and the jointed needle, some of the smaller gold Pt. Judes for fresh and early spring stripers, and a nice OTW shirt.

A big thanks to the fishermen and the vendors that did make this show a success. MSBA doe sthis event for two reasons...first and foremost it is an event, for all different aspects of the community...and second it is our major fundraiser. On all aspects we found this year to be a success. The post on this board just confirm it even more. Thanks to all of you.

yeah, it was pretty good. I picked up another Sea-Gar...and finally got my hands on a sheriff ...I can't let my wife see that one!! ......
The young man Salty had running the register was very professional as well as polite, I hope you payed him handsomely

..saw some of the usual suspects, as well as my cousin & his son ..that was a nice surprise.

I also caught the RoyL show on Sunday - I don't know if you do many shows, but you give out tooo much information ...
After your show, I didn't run to the vendors, I went and bought stock in Shimano...

The MSBA show is always worth the price of admission. It did seem pretty empty, but I'm glad to hear it was a success for the association. Thanks for the hard work you all put in.
