signing your plugs

Does anyone sign their plugs on the off chance someone might actually return it? As in a name and phone number or some other info.? If so what do you use? I don't imagine a Sharpie would last. Thought of that last night while casting a CC Tackle popper in the canal.

Anyone ever get one back?

I wish everyone would sign their plugs or stamp them.
I find tons of them on the beaches and never know who made them. They would be worth even more -someday.

I stamp "arsehole" on all my plugs. I figure everyone knows who I am.

My buddy initials them and thanks to the boards someone found one while boat fishing and caught some good fish. They found out who he was and had some made. For some stooooopid reason I can't mention names. If I could build a plug I'd sign it in some way.

I've never seen such info on a plug.

Be encouraging, not discouraging

I have actually returned plugs to people I know many times.
Some not made by them but I knew whose they were.
Sometimes while fishing the same spots you know who fishes what and where.
If I find a plug I ask my friends if they lost it before it goes in the arsenal.
Gone Fishin' Don signs some of his stuff. Last year someone found a plug and asked me if I knew him and he tried to return it but Don didn't want it back. He let him keep it. Nice plug too.
