Where are pogies?

I fish out of Hingham and usual go to Boston harbor and have been unable to get any pogies my last few trips out. I have a gill net and have been in areas where they are but have yet to get any. Any suggestions or tips?
Thanks

Go very early, or after dusk. I usually need my headlamp to get the net cleared.

I have been out the last week before sun up. I never had any trouble last year but this year I was without a boat for the first half of the year and am just getting in the game. The standard places i know just dont seem to be working.

.....I have a gill net and have been in areas where they are .....
...so why are you asking where they are?

I've found that 3 - 4 hours after the boat traffic has calmed down...they amazingly appear....sometimes SooNer!!..... I also find that they stay in the same spot longer <<at night>> as opposed to the morning. Better opportunities and SUCCESS have come at night for me. I would do like Ross and go at night.........did I say go at night?

At Night = anywhere from 10PM - 3AM

3:01AM = Early morning

...it finally happened, there are no more secret spots

I have been able to get them in the usual spots you are probably looking. This year I have yet to locate them on top of the water, I have had to use my fishfinder. I have even been able to get them at noon or 1 or 2 pm. Trust me they are there...
