Patience is the key.
If you move you could move away from a herd of cows when they cruise by (Is that the correct term?)
I fish the east end regularly, and there are only a few things that will make me move from my chosen spot.
They are:
1) rising tide-since I'm standing IN the water, the water can creep up on you if you don't pay attention.
2) swells coming in from the bay- (see #1) it's no fun getting dunked or dumped by a rouge wave.
3) REALLY strong winds- (see #1 & 2) The winds can and will affect the current and waves, so I like to know what I will be dealing with before I head out.
Keep in mind that this is "the" time of year most fishermen and women dream of.
I take some vacation time in Oct every year so that I can hopefully hook up with some serious fish.
