season greetings n thank 2 all .....
thank u for all the kindness with flaptails passing. i cant say enouph about you people from this site . steve and i were odd team . but a good one .what drew us together was a love of fishing and respect for each others way of living...i'll miss him for his advice on living a good propper life , and how importent it is to love your family and friends.we never know when its our time.i want to thank all those who made the wake ,it helped me alot to see you guys . and thanks for all the e-mails..i got to say that steve is a hard act to follow , but i got to try. he was a big part of this site with his sharp comment and wit, and knew most of you by name. a real artist with all he touched or tweeked... god i miss him .he was my push in the morning and the call i'd been waiting for that night.spring trout fishing will b tuff , but the first striped bass of spring will be impossable alone.if you are lucky enouph to have a best friend and loving understanding family, than tell them how much you love them now. before its to late...time helps heal all wounds ,and drys all tears......... thanks again ,here i go.... dave laporte....aka stiff tip

DAVE?
you have recently gone thru an ORDEAL
a real shock to your system much more
than many others at S-B
BUT Know this....
you are " KEEPER of the Flaptail KNOWLEDGE"
and sayings
much more than others
so, you need to share those memories with OTHERS now
and keep STEVE's Memory "shining brightly" Upon our minds.
HAVE a good HOLIDAY

Dave: I am missing all of Steve's insights, observations, and comments about Dr. Numbskull on this website...that I was too afraid to say myself.

Good to hear from you Dave. It will be tough forever, but at least we all have the memories, some more of them than others. Here's to wishing you a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
That goes for all of the rest of you guys too!

Dave, I hope all is well with you and your family. It's good to hear you are coping with your loss. God will give you the strength you need and memories will take care of the rest.
I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a happy healthy new year as well. I think of Steve often and we do keep his memory alive. Get out and do some ice fishing soon once the ponds freeze
Give Deb and the girls our best also. You're a good man Dave.

DAve, know that the tragedy of loosing Steve continues to inspire many of us to appreciate what we have around us, having known Steve continues to benefit us!!!!
