is there anything i can do to get better radio reception/transmission? i've got a 6' antenae but in my boat it still pretty low (no t top). i rarely use/listen to it because it sucks. is there some sort of booster for the antenae/radio i can get?

my 1st wife didn't like me fishing so much

Shakespere antennas I have always read and found to be excellent. Haven't read anything about the digital and whether that would be compatible with your existing unit. Even thou your unit is low should be usable. Clean antenna connection??? Is your radio in the weather or in the console? Even thou it is "waterproof" maybe it took a hit. Or the routing of the cable too close to other noisy wires?

When you connected antenna wire to radio did you solder it in or just attached same?

FYI: I have the Uniden Solara with DSC (digital calling feature). Not sure the DSC is active in the NE area yet as haven't found a person to call using it.

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.
