Bailess penn 9500ssm

Hi all,
I just read that someone else is having the same problem I was having a couple of years ago. The bail on my 9500ssm would shut after loading my surf rod.
Take a pair of pliers and cut the bail off, then take some two part epoxy and cover the sharp end. You still have to cock the arm back when you cast. I lost 3 plugs and cut the bail off, when I got home two years ago.....

thanks, Mike~~~

i have thought of that,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

but i KNOW that there is one out there, i just haven't gotten around to ordering it yet from that on-line PENN catalog site. i think that WITH the conversion kit, you don't have to cock the bail everytime, no? not that THAT'S a biggie,,,,,,,,,,,,but, for me, i would prefer to convert it with a kit.

i haven't lost any lures because of it, just don't like the monotony of having to do it. the added move that opening and closing the bail requires also bites!! bailless is very liberating, imho.
