need recommendations for light tackle tuna charter

I'm primarily a near-shore fisherman targeting stripers, but some friends and I would love to do a charter targeting school bluefin on light tackle. I gather the waters near Stellwagon are productive for this type of fishing.

If anyone can recommend locations, seasons to fish, or charter captains who have expertise in this type of fishing, any info would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I'll defer this to you... I'm really not in the tuna circles. A buddy went out with him and had a great time. read a lot of positives too... but you are much closer to tuna than I.

Rich Antonino on the Black Rose Black Rose Fishing Charters of Cape Cod, Green Harbor, Buzzards Bay, and Mass Bay

I've fished with some, but not all, of the other captains mentioned. Rich has the most patience with "first timers".

I'll third Riptide (for catching fish run and gun spinning tackle).

My tax dollars.. another story.

I'd recommend myself but at 12 knots, I walk and gun.

For S-B Sponsors:

Raider Ron: Black Hull Charters - Home

They do tuna charters in that area - you would need to ask how light the tackle is

I'll second the group John R mentions if you want to fish N of the Cape

For Light Tackle Tuna off Chatham or out East It's Got Stryper? Charters Capt Alan aka Little Round on this board...he specializes in spinning rod tuna and even make some of the baits many are using...I highly reccomend a trip with Alan

Terry Nugent, Riptide Charters has a great reputation. Seen his seminars and seems like he knows his stuff but never fished with him.

I also wanted to mention John Pirie if you're on the north shore On-line Fishing Charters I've fished with John and no one works harder to put you on fish.
