Dollar is falling against other currencies which makes the same oil cost more. 74 a barrel end of August, 83 now.

Just paid $2.85! Where is the $2.80, got to fill the boat tomorrow morning?

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.

A lot of this just comes down to supply and demand. Speculation on futures across a geography influences retail costs in what seems like an unpredictable way to the end consumer.

I'd wonder if the year to year numbers really look all that different. It's a good question to ask before calling conspiracy.

Question

well first i heard it was attributed to a broken pipeline out west

then iran announced it had a sh1tload more oil than previously thought, so i had the idea that this miscalculation would send the price lower
but it's been climbing ever since

Too funny. A few years back it would have been Bush and his evil oil cronies lining their pockets. It appears now that the laws of supply and demand, consumption and dollar value fluctuations, actually hold true. Amazing.

If Bush had actually succeeded in securing oil contracts for US businesses that also provided a kickback to us after he invaded Iraq, then we wouldn't be having these issues with oil/gas prices.

Just think if Linc Chafee is elected govenor he'll put a sales tax on groceries you'll spend more on food and in turn you'll accumulate points on your S&S card faster and you'll save money on gas!

Oh that's right he wants to increase the gas tax too.

On a more serious note I remember when it was $4 a gallon and heating oil was over $4.$60-$70 to fill up the Tacoma and $800 to fill the oil tank.Lets hope it doesn't go there again.

I think it is only a matter of time. Until we start decreasing our dependence on foreign oil, we won't have control over our fuel costs.
