I am not sticking up for anyone in this but the reason why the judge is on site is so that the search warrant can issue without having to transport the cpative driver anywhere. The judge will watch the driver, smell his breath, listen to him/her talk and make a quick decision. The same judge who issues the warrant wont be the same one that the case goes to trial before, but they are all brothers. I dont think Florida has ever been known as an easy state to drive under the influance in.
I'll tell you one thing. No judge in Massachusetts will ever sit at any sobriety checkpoint site where cops are checking drivers.
