Jenn last year I sent them a 686. It had a worn mainspring. I bought the gun used, and sent it to them filthy. They not only replaced the mainspring for nothing, they cleaned the gun. It looked like brand new when it came back.

I have a Model 19 that I have to send back. They sent me a mailing label to mail it to them. Haven't mailed it yet. Kind of nervous about mailing one of my guns.....Plus I've just been too lazy. It won't fire single action. I bought it used about 5 years ago (my first handgun) and have put honestly thousands of rounds of .38 and .357 through it. My family has quite an extensive collection of fire arms, most of which are S&W. This is the first real issue with any of them. Did read the article in the paper the other day about the Holyoke P.D having serious problems with their firearms and service from the company. Will let you know the outcome of my experience.

MAIL IT??? ...hmm...I dont think I could bring myself to do that!!! guess I am lucky that S&W is barely a fifteen minute drive from home!!!

yeah I shot about 100 rounds out of it...a third of which I spent messin with it to work.... this is my first NEW gun and my first VERY OWN carry gun......so I was pretty excited about getting it.....now I am thinking "good thing I didnt actually have to protect myself with it"!!!!

Jenn, you have a S&W autoloader? I never liked any of 'em I used to shake my old 4506 as a tambourine. You could hear the slide rattle rattle rattle.

Never had a problem with S&W's wheelguns, tho.

BTW, I think the US Postal Service frowns on mailing handguns (it's illegal). Fedex and UPS or other courier are the way to go.

After talking about it yesterday, I went home and hunted down the mailing label they sent me almost a year ago to date. It is for FEDEX. Now I just need to find a box to mail it in. I am not the biggest fan of the Smith auto loaders either. I have encountered feeding/ ejecting problems with my M 59. Just have to keep it REEL clean and not use cheap ammo. Even some of our reloads don't work so well. Its not from problems with the mags either. Still makes me question its reliability though should I unfortunately ever need it since it is my main carry gun. They don't feel as nice in the hand as Sigs do.

And its not really 3:52 am. The clock is off. It is really 8:52. The only time I see that time of day is when I am standing on a beach with a rod in my hand.

I looked at one and DIDnt like they way it felt!!! (to each his or her own I suppose) The ppks had everything I wanted...decocker, single or double action (well neither right now!! ), caliber I wanted, liked the size and they way it felt.....

just want to get it back and have it work right! They have one chance to restore my faith...after that....?????

Beautiful handgun. The old man has a ppk/s (made in america) in .380. Wonderful carry gun. He has had his for probably 25 years. Used to be more of a carry gun, not much of a gun we shot at the range. With bigger hands, the hammer has a tendency to clip the webbing when the slide racks. But none the less, a fine piece of craftsmenship. Surprised to hear problems with it, especially since it is new. Please be sure to keep me updated on the outcome so I can convey the issue to my pops. I will post the results of my experience with S&W once I get around to mailing it........Still doesn't sound right, mailing a gun.........

Unhappy

The German-made PPK's are much better than the ones made here Jenn.
