bright moonlight

I dont know of calcualtions. I know when its bright enough to read a watch it makes a miserable nite of fishing. I hope for cloud cover or fog. quote, "you might take those conditions into account when deciding which nights are best to expend your resources". (book: striper surf, author:Frank Daignault)

it goes farther than one would expect, i'm talking from a diving standpoint, and in southern waters. i was in mex. and we went on a night dive, we were like 30-40 ft down, and we could see ok (make out shapes, the bottom, ect)

If I don't have anything to do with the water, It ain't worth doing.

Arrow Calcs

There are too many varibles for accruate calculation or any calculation.

Water Density
Salitity
Moon Distance from Earth
Sun Distance from moon
Orbital distance of moon sun and earth
Atmospheric pressures
Barometric Pressure
Differences in atmospheric layer thermo conditions ect. ect.Oh yah and the waves from the ocean cancel out light waves if not 3 above or two below freq. in equilibrium.

IFG, your right there are to many variables, maybe I should of asked the question a little differently.

It seems to me the majority of fishermen, for what ever reason don't like fishin fullmoons(bright nights). I would imagine bass are going to feed regardless of the moonlight. Have they moved to deeper waters where it might be darker.......is fishing during fullmoons better on daylight hours.........what affect does moonlight have on BASS?...........is this top secrect info

top Secret...I am not sure but in certain places on a bright full moon....damn I like to fish...in certain other places I love a black night...i think there are other variables like structure, type mof forage, etc.

New Calcs

I have a new calc
It's late at night in the canal there's a fishermen by the RR bridge
The moon's light is resting on the water
the fishermen takes a Gibbs polaris popper 3 1/2 oz. Pogy from his plug bag and casts it to a piling then he plugs as the moon light bounces off the water onto the plug hen hooks up with a keeper.

Bass like the moon because of the tide and low smooth light it produces that's no secret.
