tuesdays trip
i'm undecided on a gameplan for tomorrow but here are the options. which one would you do? plan a: fish boston harbor for bass and sneak out to the bank for a few cod. plan b: hit race point for bass and work our way down the backside for bass and a shot at tuna. plan c: hit race pt for bass and head east of the bank for some cod

I'd do plan b since you'll probably run over tuna on the way out from what I've heard.

spent the first half of the day looking for tuna. made a quick stop at the race to look for topwater but it was pretty quiet around first light. made our way down to nauset w/ no signs of tuna life anywhere we looked. bumped into chathamblue30 looking for another giant. we pulled the plug on tuna around 9 and decided to go bass fishing. worked hard for a couple of dozen baits and put them to good use. spent the rest of the day bailing 20-30# fish without another boat in sight. when we ran out of baits we played w/ 15# blues on light tackle. at the end of the day we checked out the race again and just couldn't be bothered w/ the crowds, it's amazing how stupid people get at the sight of breaking fish. spent a pissa day with billyblanks - he's always a good wingman.

When we were at the race we bumped into the host from top chef- Tom collicio. He was on a boat that ran up on a blitz we were fishing and put them down. Billy recognized him and said hello and then said "please pack your rods and go". Pretty funny

I will never get the nit wit boat fishing at the race.
As if it's the only place in the sea that may have a few medium fish.
All the fish that people drive over to get there.
I would rather prune the hedges than get in that conga line.
