That's usually where the boat is parked...I been riding the motorcycle every day so the truck was parked there.
Guy gets an automatic 21 day suspension. No matter if it was his fault or not. The mechanic that came down said he believed it was the driveshaft that failed. It was not hanging but from what he said maybe the tailshaft.
WTF happened to the brakes? Well you know those don't work unless your in the truck to use them... The way these guys drive is to back up then shut the engine down in gear and let the dead engine stop the truck..as they jump out..cept this time it didnt quite work that way.
They brought a 100 ton wrecker down from Worcester, it was probably 45' long...couldn't fit in the driveway so the guy parked in the middle of the road and winched it sideways up the driveway.
Looks like just the front rack got stoved. I don't see any other damage but I'll let the adjuster look at it.

See! Should have never bought the bike! On the bright side Scott...no repainting to do! Hopefully no more than just the rack.

SURE does Rockport! That guy would have been crapping twinkies if he hit the flag in any way. It would have to have the whole front stripped to re-do it to make it match.

For a UPS worker, it's a good three weeks to miss if you can get away with it and it doesn't really effect your long-term employment.

Raven ups drivers aren't lazy that I've seen.... but what I experienced yesterday was the ultimate.
I spend 3 hours leafblowing my entire yard. I have plantar fasciitis in my foot. Hurts like a #^&#^&#^&#^&. I got tendonitis in my left elbow still from February. I walk up to the driveway from the back of the property. I am standing there for 2 seconds and the mail lady drives up in here truck. She delivers to the mailbox, then yells out hey do you have a pickup? I said yes there's two in the box for you. She says well can you bring them to me? She didn't want to walk down the driveway, she didn't even want to get out of her truck. I picked them up (2lbs) and walked up the driveway. It took me so long that she shut her truck off to wait for me. I was in pain. She says oh yours are always heavy. I said no these are two pounds. Oh she says the last one I delivered was a heavy one. Yea I said it was lead. My boxes going out are usually under 2 lbs each. Almost never more than 5. Just the fact that she wouldn't pull down the driveway or get out and get them? Then she starts giving me #^&#^&#^&#^& because the pickup request was for 3 boxes and there were only 2. I said yea I had an order from Brazil that I was waiting to hear back from the guy and he didn't answer me til too late so it wasnt ready. "Well I gotta put a reason on here she says" I says yea I just told you the box wasn't ready and I walked away.
A few weeks ago I got a certified letter, wife says she delivered to the mailbox then LAID on the horn until my wife came to the door and walked to the friggin mailbox to sign for this letter! Wife says she was on the horn for a good two minutes. She told my wife that they're not allowed to get out of their trucks.
Really. So how is it that you pickup every day then. I don't put my boxes in my mailbox so shes got to get them somehow? They're gone every day and people are getting their orders
That's LAZY
She's not our regular delivery person. I'm guessing a well mannered phone call to the postmaster would fix her. I don't want to get her in trouble though. Wrong attitude to have though.

def. not lazy, but some move too fast, not a fan of the out the door while the truck is still moving.. see it far too often.. like you said, they leave it in gear, kill the switch, then jump out, the company is anal on time, so they have to rush, constant movement... sometimes tho. I let one guy slam a bunch of stuff on the asphalt near the overhead door at work one day, as the last one slammed onto the pile I informed him... you know, those are fairly fragile items, and worth about 6 grand... was kinda neat watching all the blood leave his face and his jaw drop.
they were rather complicated hunter douglass remote operated sliding door window treatments...fortunately, they were packaged well, but I will say, he handles them with kit gloves now.
